(CMDI) through the Office of the Student Affairs (OSAS) and Guidance and Counseling Office launched together the Working Student Program (WSP) and the Students\u2019 Niche on August 7, 2017 at the main school building.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With this latest program, CMDI aims to be more visible by reaching out, extending services, and granting opportunities that will benefit the Senior High School (SHS) and college students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ms. Deverna Briones, Vice President for Administration and Academic Affairs, emphasized that WSP is intended to support students with financial difficulties.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe want students to grab the opportunity to earn while studying. We are doing this to prepare them in the real work scenario,\u201d according to Ms. Glenda Lagarile, Deputy Director for Tertiary Education and Partnership Education Department (TEPED).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Guests from the other institutions of CARD MRI graced the launching and they are: Ms. Rose Matunan, Human Resource (HR) Director; Ms. Maida Abrenilla, Corporate Legal Manager; Ms. Aurea Magpantay, General Manager of Employees\u2019 Multi-Purpose Cooperative (EMPC); Mr. Abelardo Sto. Domingo, Provincial Manager of CARD Mutual Benefit Association (CARD MBA); Mr. Alden Arban, Deputy Director for Application Operations Officer-in-Charge of CARD MRI Information Technology, Inc. (CMIT); and Area Managers Ms. Theresa Poncodin, Mr. Marlon Mendoza, and Mr. Edgar Bacod. They encouraged students, presented career opportunities, and some of them even revealed that they were once working students, which added more inspiration for the audience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe believe that our students are capable of doing any job from requesting institutions of CARD MRI because they are highly motivated and enthusiastic to put into practice what they have already learned at school,\u201d said Ms. Rona Almagro- Angulo, Program Officer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">CMDI offers assistance and exposure program that serves as a stepping stone to assure employment opportunities for students, as part of its 3Es: enrollment, exposure, and employment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Afterwards, the event proceeded with the ribbon cutting to formally open the Students\u2019 Niche, a multi-functional and convenient place for students to learn, grow, improve, develop, and will serve as the center of activities including OSAS-related activities, student organization meetings, faculty consultation, and guidance counselling.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe are very thankful because this kind of program that the institution provides will definitely help us financially,\u201d expressed Michelle Agan, college student.
