Three Senior High School (SHS) sections were awarded as the winners of the \u201c2017 Cleanest Room Challenge\u201d during the morning assembly on January 15, 2018 at the CARD-MRI Development Institute, Inc. (CMDI), Brgy. Tranca Bay, Laguna.<\/p>\n
Grades 11 Competence, Simplicity, and Family Spirit bagged the first, second, and third place, respectively. Their class representatives received the Certificates of Recognition from Dr. Edzel A. Ramos, Vice President for Learning and Development and Ms. Deverna dT. Briones, Vice President for Administration and Academic Affairs.<\/p>\n
The brief recognition aimed to acknowledge and appreciate students\u2019 efforts in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness. \u201cWe\u2019re able to identify the performing sections based on the results of the classroom monitoring, which we conducted for the last six months,\u201d said Ms. Rona Angulo, Program Officer.<\/p>\n
The challenge intends to instill proper etiquette to SHS and college students; make them realize their roles and responsibilities as students, citizens, and as part of the institution; and produce well-disciplined youth\u2014 therefore allowing CMDI to attain an excellent school environment conducive to learning.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is our responsibility to take care of our school and the environment as a whole. We must also value our resources and initiate actions towards stewardship as part of CARD MRI culture,\u201d according to Ms. Briones. \u201cEducation is not merely about the nourishment of knowledge but also the employment of good or right behavior, attitude, and manners that everyone must possess,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
CMDI will continue its search for the \u201ccleanest room\u201d and encourage students to actively participate and consider this activity not just a challenge but as part of students\u2019 everyday lives.<\/p>\n
