CMDI Tagum’s first intramurals held

Six teams from the Senior High School and college students of CARD-MRI Development Institute, Inc. (CMDI) Tagum City Campus competed in various sport and non-sport events in its first ever intramurals on 18 to 21 September 2018 with the theme, “Building camaraderie through sports”.

The 4-day sports activity kicked off with a parade from the Mankilam Gym to the school grounds. Sports events include table tennis, sepak takraw, volleyball, badminton, and basketball while non-sport events are cheerdance, chess, scrabble, and a song and dance tilt, to name a few.

The cheerdance competition was held on the first day and the teams Green Tamaraws, Black Stallions, White Lions, Red Panthers, Maroon Eagles, and Blue Phoenix teams displayed their dance and unique stunts. The Maroon Eagles bested all other teams and were declared the cheerdance champions.

The much awaited Mr. & Ms. Intramurals 2018 was also held and every pair of candidates was confident and competitive. Lucky Twindle Dela Torre and Joewelyn Brigole bested all other candidates and bagged the titles.

The Blue Phoenix team was declared the overall champion of the intramurals. Indeed, it was an exhausting but fulfilling activity for all the students as sportsmanship was felt and camaraderie was strengthened.
