CMDI wins as the regional champion at the 3rd ABM Cup

After earning 329 points and besting 19 schools in Region 4, the CARD-MRI Development Institute, Inc. (CMDI) was declared the overall champion of the 3rd Accounting, Business, and Management Cup (ABM Cup) on March 8, 2019 at St. Anne College in Lucena City.

The one-day event conducted by the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) is an annual regional inter-high school competition that aims to encourage academic excellence in ABM and foster camaraderie among schools.

Senior High School students Mailee Ralyn Banaag, Jewel Mae Vergara, Allysa Mhel Lucido, Clarissa Cantuba, and Ronald Laguardia gave their best and full determination during the quiz on the fundamentals of ABM. Hence, the institution received the much coveted perpetual trophy.

“What we achieved is really unexpected because we only had little preparation for the ABM Cup. Aside from the learnings, we definitely enjoyed the moment,” said Ms. Banaag. She added that instructors and coaches, Mr. Micky Kalaw and Mr. Wilfredo Llanto helped them to review and to overcome pressure.

The coaches were truly overwhelmed with how the students demonstrated their dedication, passion, effort, and abilities to reach the top and they are very proud of them for bringing prestige and honor to the school.

The five representatives were grateful for the opportunity and support that the institution has given to them.
