Lakbay-aral for Stockholders in Palawan
Despite of the unpredictable weather, 25 CARD Bank stockholders from Quezon and Masbate Province attended the “Lakbay-Aral for Stockholders in Palawan last June 18-19, 2013. They spent their 1st day in CMDI Campus for an orientation on CARD MRI, a review of the Institution and updates on operations. The members were able to see and understand the updates and thus, were motivated in becoming more responsible stockholders.
On June 18, 2013, we traveled to the airport early in the morning. However, our flight was rescheduled at a later time. Instead of wasting the day, we decided to visit Intramuros, exploring the beauty of old and historic core of Manila in a “rain or shine” weather. Afterwhich, we travelled back to the airport and finally were able to reach Palawan at around 8 o’clock in the evening.
We started our Palawan trip on June 19, 2013. The group enjoyed the tour on these sites: Palawan Bakers Hill, Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm, Palawan Wildlife and Conservation Center, Underground River and Plaza Cuartel. Unfortunately, not all of the scheduled visits were done because of flight delay. Despite this setback, the trip was still enriching and educational for the participants. They were able to see and appreciate Palawan’s natural beauty, which was surely a treat for them.
The group was not able to visit the Puerto Princesa CARD, Inc unit offices because of time constraints, caused by the delayed flight. Because of this, Mr. Rolando Punzalan, Regional Director of Palawan visited the group at dinner time for a visit and to talk with the participants.
During the giving of certificates and collection of feedback, all the members were grateful for the tour and they promised that they will continuously support CARD no matter what, despite the setbacks caused by the delayed flight. They also committed themselves to encourage more people to join CARD and to buy stocks.
