CMDI enters new academic year; enrollment now ongoing

CARD MRI Development Institute, Inc. (CMDI) paves the way for a new academic year as it bids School Year 2020-2021 farewell. With the theme “Championing the Nation’s Future”, the 3rd Commencement Exercises will happen on July 22 for CMDI Tagum and July 23 for CMDI Bay. The virtual convocation will be streamed live on Facebook at 9 AM.

In a virtual sem-ender celebration organized by CMDI, Senior Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Dr. Edzel A. Ramos gave a warm message to the incoming graduates.

“Thank you for staying and learning with us. We hope that we have imparted not just knowledge and skills, but, most importantly, the values of loving people and doing something for them without expecting anything in return. These are some of the values of CARD in its service to eradicate poverty and to attain a stable future for our members and their family.”

In his message, Dr. Ramos also highlighted the role of CARD MRI and CMDI during the pandemic. He stated, “When poor families look at CARD MRI, they always see a ray of hope, because in those dark tunnels they have been through, CARD reaches out to them. From here, we were able to shine. We are shining not because we want to honor ourselves, but we want to continue shining to serve as a beacon to guide our students, members, and staff.”

Enrollment for the Academic Year 2021-2022 is currently ongoing. Both CMDI campuses in Tagum and Bay offer Senior High School Programs including Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM), Information and Communications Technology (ICT), and Home Economics (HE). Baccalaureate Programs are also available including BS Entrepreneurship with specialization in Microfinance, BS Accountancy, BS Accounting Information System, and BS Tourism Management. On the other hand, BS Information System is only available at the CMDI Bay Campus.

To embrace the New Normal, CMDI will be employing online education through various means including phone calls, text messaging, and the use of various social media platforms. Students who lack internet facilities at home will be provided with instructional materials, which can be picked-up from the campus or from the designated areas in the students’ respective barangays.

Tentative schedules for classes in both CMDI Tagum and Bay campuses will start on September 13 for incoming Senior High School students and August 23 for college students.
