CMDI Opens as a Tertiary Education Institute
July 22, 2015 marked another milesetone for CARD-MRI Development Institute as it opened as a tertiary education institute offering Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship with specialization in Microfinancem under the School of Microfinance and Development. The event was attended by CARD MRI executives, staff, members, students, and parents.
The event was led with a motorcade/ parade, in which a holy mass and a convocation program followed. CMDI Dean Edzel Ramos welcomed the attendees with an inspiring message that told the journey of CMDI for its application to be a tertiary education institute.
Notable speakers for the event included Dr. Gelia Castillo, National Scientist and CMDI Board of Trustees member; Hon. Mario Derequito, DepEd Undersecretary for Partnership and External Linkages; Hon. Mayor Bruno Ramos, Municipality of Bay; and Vice Governor Atty. Karen Agapay, Province of Laguna. CARD MRI Founder and Managing Director and CMDI President Dr. Jaime Aristotle Alip closed off the program with a message.
CARD MRI and CMDI talents were showcased through Mga Likha ni Inay (MLNI) fashion show and a song number, respectively.
Classes officially started on June 25, 2015 at the CMDI Bay campus.
