CMDI successfully holds 1st Senior High School Recognition Day
The CARD-MRI Development Institute, Inc. (CMDI) acknowledged and appreciated the outstanding performance, effort, and hard work of students during the “1st Senior High School (SHS) Recognition Day” with the theme, “Excellence in Education Achieved through Humility” at its main campus in Brgy. Tranca, Bay, Laguna on April 11, 2017.
The said recognition program is another milestone in the life and history of CMDI as the students, parents, staff, faculty, guests, and the Executive Committee members of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI) gathered together to celebrate success.
Dr. Dolores Torres, Dean of the Department of Business and Management, welcomed everyone and congratulated the awardees. According to her, the institution is really happy and proud of the accomplishments of its students. “We are committed that CMDI will really be a tool to achieve our dream—at least one college graduate per family,” she said.
According to Dr. Jaime Aristotle Alip, Founder and Managing Director of CARD MRI, the secrets behind the event are not only the teachers who guide students to the right path of life, but also the parents who unfailingly love and support their children. The audience was inspired and delighted when Dr. Alip shared his experiences when he was a student. “Education is our priority because this will break the cycle of poverty,” he emphasized.
Grade 11 students who participated in the “1st Accountancy, Business, and Mathematics (ABM) Cup 2017” conducted by the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) on March 3, 2017 in Lucena City, were also awarded during the recognition day for bagging the “1st Overall Champion in the Business Mathematics Category” and for participating in the Accounting Category.
Meanwhile, SHS students of the ABM and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Strands with an average score of 90 % and above, received the Academic Excellence Awards divided into three categories: With High Honors; With Honors, and Achievers.
