May 21, 2018May 21, 2018The CARD-MRI Development Institute, Inc. (CMDI) reached another significant milestone as it celebrated the first commencement exercises with the theme “Towards Nation Building Through Education; Learners: Ready to Face Life’s Challenges” on April 14, 2018 at the CMDI auditorium.

Fifty-eight students from the Accountancy, Business, and Management Strand (ABM) and 30 students from the Technical Vocational Livelihood Track – Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Strand comprised the Senior High School (SHS) graduates; and 18 college students from the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship with Specialization in Microfinance complete the total of 106 graduates.

The momentous event

The CMDI Board of Trustees, members of the Executive Committee, staff and faculty members, guests, and parents graced the momentous event.

“We are very glad that we’ve come this far with our very first graduation. Without the assistance of our mutually reinforcing institutions and partners, we will not be able to reach this stage. Congratulations!” acknowledged Ms. Deverna Briones, Vice President for Administration and Academic Affairs.

Ms. Briones assured that by providing quality education services, CMDI will be able to empower and help marginalized sectors. “I hope that you will continue your journey with us to unleash the best that you can be and maximize your potentials as individuals,” she added.

Dr. Dolores Torres, Dean of Business and Management, and Ms. Rosemarie Catapang, SHS Principal presented and attested the college and SHS graduates, respectively; while CMDI President Ms. Flordeliza Sarmiento conferred their graduation.

Fruits of success

The graduates received their diplomas, academic awards, medals, and certificates of recognition for the outstanding performances in specific disciplines such as Language, Science, Arts, Research, and Mathematics, among others; and participation in outside academic and athletic events.

According to Ms. Sarmiento, “CMDI will not be able to acquire achievements from various outside school competitions without the help, guidance, and wisdom of the faculty members or coaches who willingly support their students socially, academically, and spiritually.”

Piece of advice

Moreover, Mr. Bernie Liu, Guest Speaker and Chief Executive Officer of Golden ABC, Inc., reminded the graduates to aim higher and strive harder to better serve their families and communities.

“Value family and education; you should always determine your worth and purpose to have a distinct path in life,” Mr. Liu highlighted in his commencement address.

Also, Mr. Liu cited the importance of community and its people that allow an enterprise to thrive. “You can be a very good entrepreneur, business man, or professional and make a lot of money, but if you are only doing it for the sake of gaining riches of the world without giving thought to anyone else other than yourself, then you will not be successful. Blessing must be shared,” he advised.

Speech of gratitude

The graduates were given their moment to express gratitude to the persons behind CARD MRI and CMDI. “Thank you very much for nurturing our minds and enhancing our capabilities. We will continue to uphold the core values of CARD MRI wherever we are,” said Ms. Rein Romari Malabana, SHS graduate with high honors.

“The challenges are giants of our lives, but we should always be ready to face and fight our fear and keep going to achieve what we desire,” she added.

Ms. Sharina Ilagan, SHS graduate with high honors, narrated the challenges she encountered. “Always remember that there will always be light in the darkness. Pursue your dreams in a world where life is challenging,” she told her fellow graduates.

Lightning Roulette online game is one other game massively widespread with online casino players.

“I am truly blessed to have CMDI. Thank you very much for giving us the opportunities that we are cherishing,” expressed Ms. Shalimar Camba, college graduate with high distinction, as she enumerated the benefits of being a scholar.

Doing and being the best

Dr. Jaime Aristotle Alip, CARD MRI Founder and CMDI Chairman of the Board of Trustees, encouraged the graduates to do their best to make every journey and endeavor a success. “We will put our best efforts to continue our mission and mission towards poverty eradication and nation building,” he proudly announced.

CMDI envisions itself from becoming a university to continuously provide quality and affordable education services for all.
