The pride of CMDI Tagum

A Senior High School Student of the CARD-MRI Development Institute, Inc. (CMDI) in Tagum City campus joined and reaped awards in the recent World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) held at Long Beach, California, USA on July 6 to 15, 2018.

Frence James S. Juit, an Information and Communication Technology student and scholar of Tagum City-based AQC Performing Arts Studio joined 87 other performers from the Philippines. His dance group competed in the folk dance and open category where they got gold medals and a silver medal in the hip-hop category. They made it to the grand finals to clinch gold medals and were also awarded two plaques for their participation in this prestigious event.

The WCOPA is held annually and singers, musicians, dancers, actors, and all other talented individuals converge in Hollywood to show their talents and be hailed as world-class performers.

According to Mr. Juit, this experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity that is truly memorable and made him immensely happy. “Seeing him being recognized internationally for his talent makes us proud. We are one proud school for he is from CMDI”, beamed Mr. Christian Albert A. Sandoval, AVP for Mindanao Operations of CMDI.

CMDI is truly proud of this achievement and is ready to support the students’ endeavours whether in or out of the academic setting.
